Happy Birthday Kyle & Christopher

Happy 12th Birthday Kyle & Christopher............ The boy's turned 12 on Saturday. I can't believe that it has been that long. Kevin & I threw a surprise party for them. They actually had no idea. Christopher, being his cooperative self, gave me such a hard time going to dinner. He was down right abusive where we almost left him home. Kyle was so happy that we had something really special planned and was up, dressed and ready to go 2 hrs. prior to the party. The kids had a blast and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. Today is mine and Kevin's 13 year wedding anniversary. I love you honey!

BACK TO WORK........................ I've headed back to work after 12 years of being home full-time. I have to say it is amazing how well my kids handled the change. I can't begin to say how proud I am of them. They are truly wonderful children with a great sense of family. They have realized how everyone can pull together to get things done. On the flip side I am exhausted getting up so early but I so happy to be in a job that is so much fun to go to. It is a time for change and I am so excited for all the changes coming our way personally and as a nation. I think people have a renewed spirit and mind and our nation has hope. I'm praying that our country can come together and support our new President. We are entering a time of Joy. I'm hoping we as a nation can find some peace as well.

HALLOWEEN 2008

We kicked off the weekend a little early this week. It started on Thursday night w/ Cabbage Night. They boys were off w/ their friends and got their first experience being out on that night w/out parents. The cops were everywhere!!!!!!!!!! Madeline spent it at a friends house w/ parental supervision. Halloween was a smashing success with Madeline dressed as a spicy pumpkin and the boys dressed as 70's basketball players. Gram came and got into the holiday fun w/her witches hat she stole from Gracie and our bun's (Michael) was some kind of scary swamp, skeleton monster. Abby didn't want to miss all the fun and we gave her a wig for some of our trick or treaters.

Family fun

I had a great time this weekend. I kicked it off w/ a 40th birthday dinner party with all my highschool friends who turned 40 within this year. It was so nice having all of us in one place eating, sharing some wine, laughing, etc. I feel so lucky to have such a great group of girls I can call my friends. Saturday my brother Chris, Wendie and the boys came to stay for a few days. Wendie's gram passed away @ a ripe ole age of 93. She was such a nice lady and our prayers go out to Wendie and her family. It was nice to have them stay w/ us for a few days and have all the kids get together. Sunday was our "sports" day............Madeline's team won again 5-3. As always she played awesome and made us very proud. River Dell Football had a win as well 21-7. Christopher was the QB and ran in one touchdown and threw in another. Kyle was an animal on both offense and defense. We ended the weekend with a Giant win and all was good in the Weber household. I didn't take any pictures from this weekend except the one I will post. Uncle Doyle having halloween fun!

Weekend Fun.....

We had a jam packed weekend starting w/ Kevin flying in from LA on the red-eye and an awesome party Friday night for a friend. Unfortunately, someone we all know and love became a microphone hog and sang all night and spent most of the next day on the couch!!!!!! The boys had a football game against Hillsdale where they tied 12-12. Kyle scored both touchdowns and Christopher had a nice David Tyree interception. (I'm thinking they get all their talent from me ~ I'm sure Kevin would beg to differ). The boys went off to the Giant game on Sunday thanks to extra tickets from Poppy and our favorite cousin Brian. :) Madeline & I stayed home due to a huge soccer game. Her team played hard and had to be exhausted. They ran the whole game w/out any score until the last 3 minutes of the game where we scored a goal giving us a 1-0 lead. The other team immediately scored a goal tying the game 1-1. With only 3 seconds left the Blackhawks (our team) scored again to win the game 2-1. Very, very exciting but very exhausting for all the girls. "Go Blackhawks". Dad was in Tulsa so Nanny & Gram came for dinner and hung out by the fire. We all crashed early for the start of a new week. 4 weeks and counting for "back to work".

Football, Football and more Football

.

I gave Christopher and Max a mohawk for their game against Paramus on Saturday. I agreed on one condition that it would be shaved off first thing Sunday morning. Well, because it is Murphy's Law, we woke up late and I never got around to shaving it. He had to go to CCD & Church with it like that. You had to see the look on my mother's face when he walked into church. It reminded me of the time my brother "accidentally" got a mohawk. Kyle opted out!

Summer Vacation 2008

I'm starting off with our week long summer vacation in Long Beach Island. We had perfect weather (thank God because everyone knows how much I hate the sand and ocean). The kids had a great time and it was totally relaxing. Tara and the kids came down for the night and Chris & Wendie joined us for a night at Fantasy Island.

We've only just begun.....

Thanks to cousin Trisha who inspired me to start our own family blog. I'm excited to share our lives with all our family and friends. Stay tuned........
