August 2, 1979

I can not believe it was 30 years ago today that Thurman Munson was killed in a plane crash. It seems like yesterday.

WOW, where did the time go? It's been such an exciting, fast year. I can't believe my last post was November '08. Working full time has been such a wonderful experience that I loved but unfortuntately with Kevin's job and the demanding life of my kids I decided to resign. This year has been filled with so many great events especially the boys graduation from 6th grade. They enter middle school in September and I just can't believe where the time has gone. All three of them are amazing kids who I am sooooo proud of. Each of them has handled the demands of my job like troopers and stepped up to the plate when I needed them to. I feel this was such a growing year for Madeline. She has lost all her little girl ways and has developed into this beautiful girl that is geniunely giving, caring and loving. I am so proud of her. This year showed many changes in sports. She tried and loved basketball and continued to grow and learn in soccer and softball. She took the summer off from travel softball and has been on a world wide tour of playdates, pools, beach, sleepovers, etc. They boys also spent this past year engulfed in one sport or another going from basketball to spring travel, to REC, to summer travel and now gearing up for football. (And my mother wonders why I'm exhausted). I miss my old life and being home when they come shooting through the door at the end of each day. I'm so glad I am able to have the choice to stay home. It makes me sad to see how fast time really does fly and how I can never get these years back. My last day at The Westin Jersey City Newport is the middle of August. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to work there with such great people. I'm hoping to start "weekly" updating my blog. Look for more to come.........

Happy Birthday Kyle & Christopher

Happy 12th Birthday Kyle & Christopher............ The boy's turned 12 on Saturday. I can't believe that it has been that long. Kevin & I threw a surprise party for them. They actually had no idea. Christopher, being his cooperative self, gave me such a hard time going to dinner. He was down right abusive where we almost left him home. Kyle was so happy that we had something really special planned and was up, dressed and ready to go 2 hrs. prior to the party. The kids had a blast and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. Today is mine and Kevin's 13 year wedding anniversary. I love you honey!

BACK TO WORK........................ I've headed back to work after 12 years of being home full-time. I have to say it is amazing how well my kids handled the change. I can't begin to say how proud I am of them. They are truly wonderful children with a great sense of family. They have realized how everyone can pull together to get things done. On the flip side I am exhausted getting up so early but I so happy to be in a job that is so much fun to go to. It is a time for change and I am so excited for all the changes coming our way personally and as a nation. I think people have a renewed spirit and mind and our nation has hope. I'm praying that our country can come together and support our new President. We are entering a time of Joy. I'm hoping we as a nation can find some peace as well.

HALLOWEEN 2008

We kicked off the weekend a little early this week. It started on Thursday night w/ Cabbage Night. They boys were off w/ their friends and got their first experience being out on that night w/out parents. The cops were everywhere!!!!!!!!!! Madeline spent it at a friends house w/ parental supervision. Halloween was a smashing success with Madeline dressed as a spicy pumpkin and the boys dressed as 70's basketball players. Gram came and got into the holiday fun w/her witches hat she stole from Gracie and our bun's (Michael) was some kind of scary swamp, skeleton monster. Abby didn't want to miss all the fun and we gave her a wig for some of our trick or treaters.

Family fun

I had a great time this weekend. I kicked it off w/ a 40th birthday dinner party with all my highschool friends who turned 40 within this year. It was so nice having all of us in one place eating, sharing some wine, laughing, etc. I feel so lucky to have such a great group of girls I can call my friends. Saturday my brother Chris, Wendie and the boys came to stay for a few days. Wendie's gram passed away @ a ripe ole age of 93. She was such a nice lady and our prayers go out to Wendie and her family. It was nice to have them stay w/ us for a few days and have all the kids get together. Sunday was our "sports" day............Madeline's team won again 5-3. As always she played awesome and made us very proud. River Dell Football had a win as well 21-7. Christopher was the QB and ran in one touchdown and threw in another. Kyle was an animal on both offense and defense. We ended the weekend with a Giant win and all was good in the Weber household. I didn't take any pictures from this weekend except the one I will post. Uncle Doyle having halloween fun!
